USO Christmas Toy Drive

On Saturday, December 19, 2009, David DeBerry delivered toys collected from our SCI Member Christmas Party the previous night at the Florida Yacht Club. Assisting in unloading the toys from David’s trailer into the Mayport USO office, were Sable members, Patricia and Lourdene Vane and Lourdene’s son Tavish and fiance, Jeff Roche. Also pictured is Ed Champagne, Mayport Branch USO Manager. Ever appreciative, Ed remarked that we just “made Christmas” for about 25 families that would not have had toys under the tree.

Thanks to all SCI members who donated toys to this deserving group.
